Let the annual celebration of reading and comics begin!
The first Saturday of May is FREE COMIC BOOK DAY #FCBD and there are FREE comics to be had!

We're not just giving away comics. It's a big celebration!
In addition to FREE COMICS we are:

• hosting board game demos from Chris of Mean Hyena Games
• Matt brings us another super fun ESCAPE ROOM for you to try!
• check out awesome GUNPLA kits & learn how to join the community!
• raffling themed DOOR PRIZES for you win!
• there will also be our annual store-wide SALE!

PLUS!

We’re accepting donations to the Edmonton Food Bank (cash and non-perishables) in exchange for custom artwork!

How it works:

• Bring a donation for the Edmonton Food Bank and give it to our helpful volunteers.
• The volunteers will give you a commission slip based on the value of your donation:
  • Small B&W Sketch for a minimum $15 donation
  • Small Colour Sketch for a minimum $30 donation
  • Large B&W Sketch for a minimum $25 donation
  • Large Colour Sketch for a minimum $50 donation

• Give the slip to one of the 6 amazing local Artists of your choice

You are pretty sure that Jay wrote the instructions down for you but you must have accidently filed it away with the comics you sorted yesterday. With the collector arriving soon, can you figure out the code before the big sale?"

Headway is a tactical card connecting game in which two players control disassembled skeletons maneuvering their Skull around to steal each other's Mojo. Gain ground by throwing bones from Arm to Arm, walking your Legs around on their own to flank, or even taking an extra turn with your Ribcage. Headway is a goofy-but-deep game that'll have you scratching your head trying to figure out the best way to move.

During this demo, I'd like to play a couple times so that you can get a good sense of what the game's like after a few plays, and so that I can get your valuable feedback!

NOTE: This game is still in active development, so you'll be playing a prototype. Not all components, art, or even rules are final

GUNPLA DISPLAYS!

One of the local Gunpla (Gundam Play) groups will be here:

- Showcasing builds from the community
- Providing a crash course into tools for starting in the hobby
- Having a kitbashing area for people to mix and match parts to make their own custom Gundam
- Promoting the various meetups around Edmonton!
