THE RT GALLERY

Our gallery provides 24 feet of wall space along with room for free-standing or podium base artworks. Display your work for a different audience to see and even host an Opening Nite event or daytime Meet n Greet.

Full Details

The gallery is free to display in for any individual or group, typically for a duration of one month.

Art must be brought to the store ready-to-hang once dates and times are established.
The content of the art should be appropriate for a family-friendly business and pieces can be discussed in advance regarding their content if there are concerns.
Ideally the pieces would be thematically pop culture in nature but that is not a condition to utilizing the space.

The sale of any pieces in the exhibit goes fully to the artist(s) but we do ask that the pieces remain in the gallery until the end of the showing.

We also offer the opportunity for a reception open to the public where they can meet the artists.

The reception can be catered, have music (live music to be acoustic only), or other entertainment, as the artist sees fit and is appropriate for the time period the reception is being held.
The reception would be organized and paid for by the artist(s) and if the event occurs outside normal business hours, we will do our best to accommodate the request at no extra charge. However, some fees may apply to cover operational costs.

We also have a small table in the gallery with a comment box and space for flyers/business cards or small items like comic books that could also be for sale.

Rolling Tales will promote the exhibit (and optional reception) on our website and throughout our social media.

ART STUDIOS

Are you a new artist looking for a space to create maybe you need a base of operations?
We have 5 art studios to rent on a month-to-month basis at affordable rates.

With long hours for access, free parking for your guests, a gallery space, a meeting room, and tons of inspiration among all the comics, games and more, we are hoping to bring together some of the coolest and most creative talent Edmonton has to offer!

AVAILABILITY
AS OF JANUARY 1, 2025:

Studio A, B & D

Rates are per month and do not include GST. Discounts available for longer term rentals.

The RT GALLERY is also available for use/rent. Costs are set on a case-by-case basis after discussion of purpose of use.

TERRY MAH WORKSPACE

Need a space for a meeting with a client, to host or workshop, or even just gather your gaming group. You can book the spacious Terry Mah Workspace, out fitted with tables, chairs, smart board, and sink, making it flexible for any sort of situation. Free Wi-Fi and parking is also available.

Priority use for the room is for RT events/functions. Please check our Event calendar before requesting a booking.

Costs:

1 hr booking for meeting - $5
3 hr booking for workshop or gaming - $20 (maximum 12 people)

DRAW FUNNY

Fast-paced comics-creating workshops, full of fun writing and drawing strategies that help students create their own characters and storylines. Fostering a love of books, comics and literacy, the Draw Funny classes revolve around collaboration and humour.

Ages 7+ - $30/person
Thurs (5-7pm) & Sat/ Sun Drop-ins (Noon-4pm)
Fri evenings (5:30 to 7:30) Art Jam for teens & up
