Rolling Tales is part of your 15-minute community in southwest Edmonton, providing entertainment and education through the greatest stories ever told in comics, games, and hobbies. We are independent and locally owned by two super nerds, Sylvia and Jay. Rolling Tales is more than just a pop culture shop—we are here to inspire creativity and bolster literacy for all.
We are also a member of the Alberta Living Wage Network because supporting our staff contributes to a healthy, productive, and enthusiastic team. When you shop at Rolling Tales you contribute to a healthy community and economy.
At Rolling Tales we have partnered with local experts to provide exciting workshops to enhance your hobbies or discover a new one! Walking distance from many homes in Terwillegar, Magrath, Leger, and a short bike or drive from surrounding neighborhoods we invite you to spend an afternoon or evening with us celebrating stories and hobbies.
Mutually supporting the community is essential and this goes beyond our workshops.
Our Artist in Residence program exists to provide a local artist with dedicated time for them to focus on their projects in an inspiring environment. The Artist in Residence also acts as a resource to the community seeking to learn more about the craft of illustration, comics, and design.
We also provide discounts and a monthly newsletter for educators and librarians—we take the time to review more than 500 titles being offered each month and put a selection into the newsletter sorting them by categories such as: all ages, young adults, teen+, manga, LGBTQ+ friendly.
Our shelves host oodles of stories for you to discover including many unique comics, books, artworks, and handmade items by local creators. We are excited to spotlight these creators and their works through promotion, interviews, and events at RT HQ!
