On September 18th, we're celebrating our opening with a big ol' all-ages party featuring live music from Arlo Maverick and entertainment by Jugglin' Jordan! Bonus: we are having a 15% off store-wide sale (some exceptions)!
Plus, we'll have artists Serena Tang, Tayson Martindale, Pierre Mallias, and Joanne Wojtysiak drawing up a storm and raising money for the Edmonton Food Bank!

Tayson Martindale is a comic book creator based in Edmonton, AB.
"...you don’t have to be the greatest artist of all time to start making great comics, you can literally tell a compelling, engaging story just with stick people and a bit of knowledge on how comics work. I’ve taken some classes to learn more about specifics (colouring techniques, storytelling, etc) but the bones of how I learned to create was from reading comics and then making my own."
His works include: Work: Box Boy (graphic novel), Parker Purr: Cat Adventurer, Bedtime Tails, The Legendary: Winter, Active Animals The Game, Thunder Frog (artist), Kids (comic strip)

Pierre Mallais was a combat engineer in the Canadian Army for 28 years. He's been on 6 overseas deployments, including two in Afghanistan. Mallais has created illustrations for army training and planning documents. He's now retired from the army and a comic creator!
